We have been busy working on various projects - Leslie graduated from her "chair back massage class" and we have agreed to the design with our artist on a painting we have commissioned. Difficult to express creativity in another language! It is something initially for the wall in our apartment in Muscat which has nothing on them. We will be back to see how the work is progressing when we get back from Myanmar.
We had hair cuts, massages (2 hours of stretching and accupressure have left our calves a little tender) and I had a manicure /pedicure to get ready for our trip. Clothes we are taking are limited and the quick dry kind like from our Caminio. We also have an extensive medical kit and bug repellent. We have paid for everything ahead of time (food/lodging/ domestic transportation both air and car) though a local agent here and a local agent in Yangoon. Myanmar is even hotter than Chiang Mai.

On Friday afternoon, we had a wonderful gallery walk with Victoria Vorreiter who has been documenting the tribal music and ceremonies of the people living in the golden triangle. Her photographs were beautiful – we had seen the exhibit and then came back again yesterday for the curator walk with her – below is a link to her website. http://www.tribalmusicasia.com/index.html
As it turned out she knew someone else from Aramco that is leaving in our same building (Greg Swingholm) so we actully bumped into him in the lobby of our building and we will get together when we are back. He had just gotten back from a visit to the US.
